Description
The species has long, branching round stems, emerging from a spreading rhizome, a horizontally growing submerged stem with roots. The leaves are alternatively arranged, oval to lance-shaped, and clasp the stem with a lobed base. Fruit filled stalks emerge above the surface by the end of summer.
Color
The leaves are translucent bottle brown or green, light colored stem with yellow white flowers and olive green fruits.
Average size
Up to 2 meters, the leaves are about 2-6 cm, the spikes are 5 cm with 4 mm fruit.
