The effect is similar to an airbrush technique but much finer. Giclées have the widest range of colors to produce rich tones that are not available with any other reproduction process. This cannot be achieved using traditional lithography or serigraphy. In conclusion, the Giclée process provides better color accuracy than other means of reproduction, and renders an amazingly smooth and consistent image. At Living in the Baltic Sea the Giclées on Canvas have the image extended by approximately 4 cm / 1.5" on each side and then stretched over the thick wooden frame. The result is a modern 3-dimensional look, with no need for a frame! The Giclées are printed on an exclusive acid free cotton canvas. The pigments used are very stable and are designed to resist fading. A special UV protectant agent is applied on the surface of the canvas. The Giclée process gives a color resistance of a minimum of 75 years under average indoor light conditions. Direct sunlight is to be avoided for all artwork. Each piece is personally proofed, numbered and signed by the Artist. They are created individually for you, at the time of order with the next, lowest available edition number. Each Print is individually packaged with a sturdy foam core backing in a crystal clear envelope. The foam core is a perfect backing when framing the Print. As with any artwork, if kept in normal room temperature and humidity away from direct sunlight it will last for many years to come and keep spreading the positive message that the Artist intended.
